Our Love 3
Life after the proposal settled into a cozy, chaotic routine. Mornings were always amusing.
“Wei, have you seen my blue-striped socks?” JiaJia shouted from the bedroom.
“You mean the ones that look like a zebra on a budget?” Wei called back from the kitchen, flipping a suspiciously burnt pancake.
“They're professional!”
“They're in the laundry. Wear the yellow duck ones. They show personality.”
JiaJia walked in wearing a blazer, tie, and the infamous duck socks. “You’re lucky I love you.”
Wei smirked. “Those ducks say the same thing.”
Episode 2: Cooking Catastrophes
Wei decided to surprise JiaJia by cooking dinner. The results were... creative.
“Ta-da!” Wei presented a slightly charred dish with pride.
JiaJia poked at it suspiciously. “Is this lasagna or a new type of roofing material?”
“It’s lasagna with extra personality.”
“Personality tastes like burnt cheese and confusion.”
They ended up ordering pizza.
“I love that you try,” JiaJia said, biting into a slice. “Next time, maybe let the oven live its own life.”
Episode 3: Couch Economics
One lazy Sunday, they debated the ultimate relationship question: what to watch on Netflix.
Wei: “Let’s watch a documentary on cyber security!”
JiaJia: “Or... a rom-com where no one gets hacked.”
After 30 minutes of scrolling and debating, they settled on a nature documentary.
Five minutes in, both fell asleep, cuddled together on the couch. Their cat, Byte, claimed the remote.
Episode 4: Arguments & Apologies
Not all days were perfect. One morning, an argument over who forgot to pay the internet bill escalated.
“You handle the tech!” JiaJia fumed.
“I handle the tech, not the bills!” Wei retorted.
Silence. Then, awkward pacing.
An hour later, Wei came in with a peace offering: bubble tea.
JiaJia took it with a grunt. “Only because it’s brown sugar.”
Wei grinned. “Also, I paid the bill. We’re still online.”
Episode 5: Looking Ahead
One night, while folding laundry, JiaJia paused. “Do you ever think about having a wedding?”
Wei blinked. “Like... with guests? And cake?”
“Yes. A real one. Suits, vows, and dancing terribly afterward.”
Wei smiled warmly. “Only if you wear duck socks.”
JiaJia laughed. “Deal. But you have to cook the wedding lasagna.”
“Or we cater,” Wei said, quickly.
They kissed, surrounded by laundry, mismatched socks, and love.
Season 3 ends not with grand gestures, but the quiet, daily joys of life together, a partnership stitched with humor, patience, and pancakes (sometimes burnt).
